Cookie Notice

We use one set of optional cookies, Google Analytics, and only if you accept. Here is the full picture.

A cookie is a small file a website can store in your browser. Some sites use lots of them for advertising and tracking. This site does not. The only cookies here are analytics cookies, they are switched off by default, and they only ever load if you press Accept on the cookie banner.

Cookies that are always on

None. The site does not need any cookies to work. The calculators and fact-find run with no cookies at all. The one thing I do save is your cookie choice itself, and that is kept in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie, so your decision is remembered without anything being set until you opt in.

Optional cookies: Google Analytics

If you accept, Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies so I can see how the site is used in aggregate, for example which tools are popular and how many people visit. I use this only to decide what to improve. Analytics runs with IP anonymisation on, the data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically, and it is never used to identify you personally.

These cookies are only ever created after you press Accept. If you reject, or ignore the banner, they are never set and Google Analytics is never loaded.

Review or change your choice

You can change your mind whenever you like. The button below reopens the cookie banner so you can accept or reject again. If you reject after previously accepting, analytics stops loading on your next page view; to remove cookies already set, clear your browser's cookies for this site.

More information

For how your data is handled more broadly, see my privacy policy. For how Google handles analytics data, see Google's own privacy and terms pages. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them.
